Within the Christian tradition, Lutherans place a special emphasis on God’s unconditional love for all through Jesus Christ – in a word – God’s “grace,” and that living in that grace changes everything. That being said, you don’t have to be a Lutheran to become involved with Lutheran Campus ministry. Everyone’s welcome.

Publicity about upcoming events open to all students, faculty and staff are available through this web-site, by email at lutheran@uvic.ca or information available at the Multifaith Chaplaincy offices.

 

I will be on campus in or around the Multifaith Services office in the Campus Services Building (the entrance is southwest from the Bookstore) on most Tuesdays from 12noon - 3:00 PM or by appointment.

Whatever the concern, for conversation, counsel, spiritual guidance, prayer or just to ask and/or discuss anything that has to do with life and faith, I will do my best to be available. I don’t promise to have a lot of answers. I do promise you will be listened to in confidence, with out judgment and free of pressure to have a particular understanding, belief, or practice.

If you are seeking resources of faith such as prayer, confession and forgiveness, the sacraments of Holy Communion or Holy Baptism, I’m happy to assist you as I am able.

As you can see on other parts of the website, UVic Multifaith Services programming falls into four areas: Learning, Community, Service and Practice. A summary of Lutheran Campus ministry programs are listed below. More information about each of these programs is available on the main web-site under the four program areas.

Learning:

A free meal for students hosted by residents of "Luther House"

A monthly free meal open to all students at the student residence of Lutheran Campus Ministry, 3781 Cedar Hill Road (at the corner of Cedar Hill Road and Cedar Hill Crossroad, about a 15 miinute walk from UVic.)
