Ocean Boulevard and Royal Roads Loop Route

This loop route will take you along Lagoon Road, up a steep hill and through a portion of Royal Roads before heading out onto Ocean Boulevard.

How to get there Turn left onto Ocean Boulevard off the Old Island Highway from Victoria near the JDF Recreation Centre. Turn left to stay on Ocean Boulevard and follow until you reach the lagoon.
What to bring Running/walking shoes and water
Parking Yes – anywhere along the lagoon.
Washroom facilities Yes – on Ocean Boulevard at Lagoon Road .
Wheelchair access Yes – at the lagoon only.

Other info

This route will take you into Royal Roads; you can enter at one of several gates along Metchosin Road. Stick to the outside trails (near the fence) within Royal Roads, following Sooke Road. You will end up on a street with several houses in Royal Roads – keep going straight until you come out at the university entrance where the Galloping Goose crosses Sooke Road. Take the Galloping Goose Trail until you see a trail leading to Ocean Boulevard. Ocean Boulevard has no sidewalks, so use caution.
