Gold Mine Trail
Part of an extensive trail network in Goldstream Park, this route will take you through lush temperate rain forest and up past abandoned gold mines to the E&N railway trestle over Niagara Creek. Walking on the trestle can be dangerous and is not encouraged.

| How to get there | located 16 km northwest of Victoria on southern Vancouver Island on the Trans Canada Hwy (Hwy #1) on the left side of the road, 500 meters before the Goldstream Park turn off. If traffic isn’t clear coming in the opposite direction, continue on to Goldstream Park and turn in and back out onto the highway heading back to Victoria. Turn into the small unmarked parking lot on your right. |

Since this area isn’t as well visited as the other trails in Goldstream Park, make sure you bring a phone and check the map posted a few minutes into the trail to see where you are going – it’s easy get lost. Also avoid walking on the trestle – there are no hand rails and it is still used by the E&N Dayliner. |
