Other great sites:
Mimi on the run Food Blog: This site has a lot of really good recipes and stunning photography. It is really aspirational to me in terms of the quality of both design and recipes.
Cheesecake pops at Feeding My Enthusiasms Food Blog
Happy Cow: A comprehensive guide to vegetarian restaurants and natural food grocers across the world. This site has been essential to me in my travels around North America.
PETA's kid-friendly website: PETA and VegCooking have a lot of useful information for parents.
Great cookbooks:
How it all Vegan by Tanya Barnard & Sarah Kramer: These B.C. natives helped me to make the difficult transition from vegetarian to vegan after a doctor advised me to do so. At the time, I didn't know the first thing about living vegan. I would recommend this book to everyone. (Vegan a Go-Go is their newest book and has many of my favorite recipes, so I would recommend that as an alternative as well.) Though a warning: none of the desserts I attempt to make from their cookbooks ever seem to turn out.
What Should I Feed My Baby? by Shuzannah Olivier. My oldest sister gave me this book which was first printed ten years ago. I have found it to be incredibly useful. There are meal plans for babies and toddlers from newborn to 3 years old.
