Participate in an Experiment!

You may have been asked to participate in research before, and we hope you will agree to help again! This project requires about 3 hours of your time and the results will help us understand how the neural control of movement is changed after trauma to the nervous system.

Who can help? Anyone who has had an incomplete spinal cord injury and who has the ability to move their arms or legs, anyone who has had a stroke and who has the ability to move their arms or legs, or anyone who is an adult and in good health.
What? Walk on a slowly moving treadmill or other exercise equipment, cycle your arms and/or legs while we stimulate nerves to record reflexes in your muscles.
Where? Rehabilitation Neuroscience Laboratory, University of Victoria. Click here for a map.
How much time? One or two visits taking about 3 hours each.
When? We are working right now! Contact us for more information! Click here to see the types of projects done in the lab.
